DeDreana Freeman

Director of Partnership Development
With over 20 years of experience DeDreana brings the community advocate perspective to Corner Square team, working on Partnership Development using her background in media studies, communication and community organizing to connect the organization to the people and the people to the organization. DeDreana’s past experience in the fields of Information Technology and Health Care Systems is a value-add in integrating Non-Profit Management with Community and Economic Development. 
DeDreana grew up in New York/ New Jersey, studied Information and Communication in Undergrad at the Rutgers University the State University of New Jersey, and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University. Over the last 15 years she has honed her skills in leadership, project management, gap analysis, client relationship management, and strategic planning. 
DeDreana is also an active resident of the community, serving in a number of capacities on boards of directors for community organizations, and has several years of community engagement and outreach experience. Currently serving her second term on the Durham City Council. She’s a urban foodie, tree hugger who enjoys listening to Clark Howard, traveling, and learning something new everyday.
